About Time

I meant to develop my film earlier, but Kyran and I ended up eating burgers at a diner and raiding a bakery down the street instead. And then I entered into an alternate universe known as the 4th year of university and I wasn’t sure how to escape. Anyway. Now we’ve got some catching up to do.

First up, we’re going back in time to a season of decadence. Christmas seems like eons ago, but I feel these pictures could become relevant if you imagine all of the following treats moulded into heart-shapes and slathered with pink frosting.

Snowflake Linzer Torte. I'm so totally in love with this nutty-jammy creation. Once I did make a giant heart-shaped one of these for Kyran. (Really).

Second breakfast on Christmas day. Eggs Benedict on waffles. With winter fruit salad and Mimosas.

Daryn and I hosted a small gathering a couple days before Christmas. We ate well. I was so pleased with how this meat and cheese plate came together. The addition of homemade ricotta, and roasted pepper spread was incredible. I would be happy to eat like this on a regular basis.

First ever attempt at making French-style macaroons, and I made them as a gift. I wasn't happy with the filling, so I created a white chocolate-raspberry ganache instead (not shown).

Now I didn't make this, but I had the pleasure of eating it. Our very talented friend Nick made these for the annual Christmas party. Almost too pretty to touch...

Another of Nick's incredible creations.

Jeez louise! Welcome to February!
